High speed chase leads to arrest

A 32-year-old Farmington man was arrested Halloween evening after leading police on a high speed chase – throughout the community. The San Juan County Sheriff’s office says Eric Benally has been charged with aggravated fleeing, a fourth d-w-I reckless driving and resisting or evading an arrest. Benally reportedly drove his Pontiac Grand-Am from U-S 550 through the county to US 64 and onto Murray Drive, where deputies used stop sticks to pop his tires. He continue to Farmington’s Main Street, where he jumped from the vehicle and fled into a nearby neighborhood, where Benally was captured.
